With a passion for the fashion world that ignited during her early years, Mrs. Hassine pursued her education in fashion and textile design, successfully earning a bachelor's degree from the Higher Institute of Fashion in Monastir (ISMM). Her enthusiasm for textile design led her to engage in manufacturing workshops during her summer breaks, where she gained hands-on knowledge of various crafting techniques like knitting and hooking. Building on her educational foundation, she undertook internships and training programs in entrepreneurship, soft skills, and communication, both during and after her studies.

Mrs. Hassine founded her own company Nawara-Tex in 2017 and, due to administrative delays, the business’ activity started in mid-2018 with 10 employees. The company currently employs 55 employees. Initially, Mrs. Hassine manufactured bed linens and baby linens and sold her products to end customers through social media. Progressively, the company witnessed an increase in demand and started collaborating with hospitals, schools, kindergartens, and manufacturing companies from several regions such as Beja, Kef, and Jendouba. This expansion prompted the introduction of a wider range of offerings, including school uniforms, workwear, and ready-to-wear collections.

However, the company needed to enhance the technical skills of its employees to improve both product uniformity and overall productivity.

In 2020, JOBS provided training sessions for Nawara-Tex employees to improve their technical skills and ensure consistent quality in the company’s products. JOBS also helped the company develop a website to enhance its ability to communicate with buyers. Amidst the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic in 2021, JOBS awarded a grant to Nawara-Tex to purchase raw material to produce disposable masks and medical garments.

JOBS’ assistance allowed the company to increase sales by 16%, expand its reach nationwide, sustain 25 jobs, and create 17 new ones.

"Right from the start, I was cautioned that my business might face setbacks due to our region's lack of prominence in the textile industry. However, I believed in my project and worked hard to make it flourish. Additionally, JOBS’ support helped me tackle productivity issues and navigate the pandemic's challenges."
