Aymen Gahbiche manages Technolatex, a company that produces disposable medical gloves for healthcare providers. The company is located in the governorate of Beja. 

With a family background in agribusiness, Aymen knew the industrial sector. With ambitions to become a successful entrepreneur, he conducted a thorough analysis of the business landscape in the region to identify imported products that could be manufactured locally. Aymen then found out that disposable medical gloves were entirely imported and decided to seize the opportunity and launch Tunisia's first disposable medical gloves manufacturing company. After developing a business and feasibility plan, the company officially started its operations in 2015, employing 32 individuals from the region. The company sources its raw materials from Malaysia and Thailand, two of the world's leading rubber latex producers. 

The initial challenge for the company involved convincing local clients about the quality of its products, as they were used to importing them. To overcome this matter, the company implemented several quality certifications and met international standards. Over the following years, Technolatex expanded and firmly established its presence in the local market, forging partnerships with numerous hospitals, clinics, private physicians, and pharmacies.

When the COVID-19 pandemic struck, demand for disposal medical gloves rapidly grew. However, Technolatex lacked the raw material and workforce to immediately increase production. The company lacked financing to purchase the required quantity of rubber latex and hire additional labor.

JOBS awarded Technolatex a grant to purchase a large stock of raw material, freeing up the company’s resources to hire 15 additional workers. As a result, the company produced latex gloves around the clock during the pandemic, doubling its production to 200,000 gloves per day.
