SMALL GRANTS STORIES: Forci Plus

COVID-19 Response / Articles / 10-11-2021

The Forci Plus center was born in 2009 as a result of an initiative I started with university friends. We started teaching computer science and computer-aided design, and gradually developed our offerings to meet demand in the area. To remain competitive, we had to continuously reinvent ourselves and improve the quality of our trainings.

We applied for the COVID-19 Enterprise Recovery Fund established by the U.S. government as part of its USAID Tunisia JOBS program to offset a decline in business following the national lockdown and health restrictions, which forced us to limit our student enrollment. With JOBS’ assistance, we were able to meet our expenses and renovate our office in order to welcome trainees at the beginning of the new school year in the best conditions.
